Changing Landscapes’ is an art installation that educates the general public about the importance of sustainability and the implications of the human footprint on our ecosystem. Inspired by found dead bees, broken branches, wilted flowers and fallen leaves— this installation is intended to address what our world would be like without the crucial synergies between nature and humanity. The found dead bees in this installation have undergone a technical process that progressively enlarges the castings of their bodies, while retaining and emphasizing certain key physical elements. The concept aims to address the environmental issues surrounding the declining bee population, the importance of the pollinators’ role in the ecosystem, and the impact of global warming on our environment.
